Herb Wild Rice


1 cup sliced green onions 2 tb butter
1 cup uncooked wild rice 3 cups chicken broth
1 tsp rubbed sage 3/4 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp salt  &nbsp


  1. In a saucepan, over medium heat, saute' the onions in butter until tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add rice; cook for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Add broth, sage, thyme and salt if desired
  4. Pour into an ungreased 1-1/2qt baking dish.
  5. Cover and bake 350 deg for 70-80 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  6. Yield: 8 servings.
